Colton’s Baby Blue Afghan

Materials:

10 Ounces baby blue 4-ply worsted weight yarn

10 Ounces white 4-ply
worsted weight yarn

Size J Crochet Hook

Gauge: Unimportant

Size: 32” x 34”

Note: Work all ends in as you go.

Directions

With blue, ch 123.

Row 1 : Sc in the second ch from hook and in the next ch, *
ch 2, skip the next 2 chs, sc in the next 2 chs; repeat from * across chain.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn.
(counts as first dc and turning ch), turn; 4 dc in the next ch 2 sp and in each
ch 2 space across row, skip next sc, dc in last sc.

Row 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in first dc and in space before next
dc, *ch 2, skip next 4 dc, 2 sc in space before next dc; repeat from * across
row to last 5 dc, ch 2, skip next 4 dc, sc in space before last dc and in last
dc.

Rows 4 -7 : Repeat Rows 2-3 two times.

Row 8: Repeat Row 2. End off blue at end of row and attach
White.

Rows 9: With white, repeat row 3.

Row 10 – 15: Repeat Rows 2 – 3 three times.

Row 16: Repeat Row 2. End off white and attach blue yarn.

Row 17: With blue, repeat row 3.

Row 18 – 25: Repeat row 2 - 3 three times.

Row 26: Repeat Row 2. End off blue and attach white.

Row 27 – 80: Repeat Rows 9 – 26 eight times. At end of Row 80,
attach white, ch 1, turn for edging.

Edging

Turn, ch 1. Work 3 sc in first stitch for corner. Sc in each
dc across row to last dc, 3 sc in last dc to form the next corner.

Work down sides of afghan with 2 sc in each dc and 1 sc in
each sc, working 3 sc in each corner. End off yarn after you have worked around
the entire blanket.
